  21. The first UK computer security and hacking conference, Access All Areas,
  22. is to be held in London later this year.
  23.  
  24. It  is aimed at hackers, phone phreaks, computer security professionals,
  25. cyberpunks, law enforcement officials, net surfers, programmers, and the
  26. computer underground.
  27.  
  28. This  will  be  a  conference  for people that are interested in various
  29. aspects  of  computer  culture.  Respected industry professionals, legal
  30. experts  and  computer  hackers  will  be  presenting  talks  about such
  31. subjects as illegitimate computer access, telephone fraud, legal aspects
  32. and much, much more.

  34. It will be a chance for all sides of the computer world to get together,
  35. discuss  major  issues,  learn  new tricks, educate others and meet "The
  36. Enemy".

  38. -------------------------------WHERE-IT-IS------------------------------

  41. Access All Areas is to be held during the first weekend of July, 1995 at
  42. King's  College, London.  King's College is located in central London on
  43. The Strand and is one of the premier universities in the UK.

  45. -----------------------------WHAT-WILL-HAPPEN---------------------------
  46.  
  47. There  will  be  a  large lecture theatre that will be used for talks by
  48. computer  security  professionals, legal experts and hackers alike.  The
  49. topics under discussion will include hacking, phreaking, computer fraud,
  50. telephone  fraud,  encryption  technology,  big  brother  and the secret
  51. services, biometrics, cellular telephones, pagers, magstrips, smart card
  52. technology, UNIX security risks, legal aspects and much, much more.

  54. Technical  workshops on several of the topics listed above, will also be
  55. running throughout the conference.
  56.  
  57. An  Internet  link,  being  provided for the duration of the conference,
  58. will  be  connected  to  a  local  area  network allowing World Wide Web
  59. access, Internet Relay Chat sessions, and Cu-See-Me video conferences to
  60. take place.

  62. A  video  room, equipped with multiple large screen televisions, will be
  63. showing  various  films,  documentaries  and other unique hacker related
  64. footage.

  68. This  is  the initial list of speakers for Access All Areas.  Additional
  69. guests will be announced as they are confirmed.

  72.     o Alistair Kelman BSc, AMBCS, ACiArb is a Barrister who is also
  73.       qualified as a chartered computer professional.  He has been in
  74.       specialist private computer law practice since 1978.  His most
  75.       recent well known case was "Paul Bedworth", the hacker who was
  76.       acquitted through use of the defence of "Computer Addiction".

  78.     o Alec, the author of several popular freely-available network
  79.       security tools, works as a professional Internet security
  80.       consultant and guru for a large computer company.
  81.  
  82.     o Duncan Campbell, TV producer and investigative journalist.
  83.  
  84.     o Emmanuel Goldstein is the editor of 2600 - The Hacker Quarterly,
  85.       a US hacking publication.
  86.  
  87.     o Felipe Rodriquez is the director of the xs4all foundation, a
  88.       well-known Internet access point in Holland.
  89.  
  90.     o Rop Gonggrijp, Hack-Tic Technologies, The Netherlands.
  91.  
  92.     o Robert Schifreen is a journalist specialising in computer
  93.       security.   He  was  also  involved  with  the  Prestel computer
  94.       hacking case.
  95.  
  96.     o Steve Gold is a journalist specialising in communications and
  97.       security.  He was involved with the Prestel computer hack in the
  98.       mid 1980's and also co-authored "The Hacker's Handbook".

  100. ------------------------------REGISTRATION------------------------------

  102. Registration  will take place at the door on the morning of Saturday 1st
  103. July  from  10:00am.   The  conference  will  commence  at  12:00  noon.
  104. Lectures  and  workshops  will  run  until  late Saturday night and will
  105. continue on Sunday 2nd July from 9:00am until 6:00pm.

  111. The  price  of  admission  will  be  £25.00 per person (approximately US
  112. $40.00)  at  the  door  and  will  include  a  door  pass and conference
  113. programme.

  117. Accommodation  in  University  Halls  of  Residence is available for the
  118. duration of the conference.  All prices quoted are per person, per night
  119. and include a full English breakfast.
